This was my entry for the Art House Co-Op’s Sketchbook Project 2013. I switched themes multiple times before settling on Upstairs, but knew beforehand I wanted to make a memoir of 2012. It will always be, undoubtedly, the most important year of my life. And I wanted to give anyone who picks it up an idea of what was going on upstairs, in my mind- my progression from instability to complete security- hence the title.
My sketchbook will be touring around the world with thousands of others mid-year. Nothing makes me happier than knowing part of me will be left with everyone who picks it up.
